Welcome to Men's Cross Country

Cross country is a sport where athletes compete in 5k races (5,000 meters or 3.1 miles) over grassy and hilly terrain. We seek individuals who like to set goals and are willing to work hard to achieve them. No prior running experience is required.

While many think running is an individual sport, it requires a group of dedicated individuals who run together as a team. Scoring is based on the team's top five runners so winning is a team effort. Our varsity and junior varsity teams train and attend meets together.

In 2010, the Wildcat Cross Country Team went to the State meet for the fourth time in its 9-year history and placed 20th. They were No. 5 in Academic All-state (grade point average). Coach Jon Mikosz was named Observer Coach of the Year for the third year in a row.
